FDA-registered Tinnitus Control relieves the symptoms of tinnitus
and helps stop the constant ringing in ears.
Tinnitus (from the Latin word tinni-tus - meaning ringing) is the perception of sound within the human ear in the absence of a corresponding external sound.
Tinnitus isn't a disease. It's a symptom resulting from a range of underlying causes that can include: wax or foreign objects within the ear, ear infections, nose allergies that induce or prevent fluid drain and cause wax build-up.
Tinnitus can also be caused by natural hearing impairment (as in old age), as a side-effect of congenital (genetic) hearing loss, and as a side-effect of some medications. However, the most common cause for tinnitus is noise-induced hearing loss.
As tinnitus is often a subjective phenomenon, it's difficult to measure using objective tests, such as by comparison with noise of known intensity and frequency, as in an audiometric test. The condition is often rated clinically on a simple scale from slight to catastrophic according to the practical difficulties it imposes - such as quiet activities, interference with sleep, and normal daily activities.
Tinnitus is very common. About 1 in 5 people between the ages of 55 and 65 report tinnitus symptoms on a general health questionnaire and 11.8% on more detailed tinnitus-specific questionnaires.
